I haven’t updated my blog since Christmas. Long overdue, but I have been very busy the last couple of months. My job as a teacher is great but it’s also taking a lot of my time. Besides that I haven’t picked up my camera as much as I would have liked but here are some images from winter/spring.
As you can see in one the pictures, my girlfriend was pregnant. Until May 6th where Marie was born. So I guess most of my pictures the next months will be of her, but that’s fine with me.
Hamburg is a lovely city. It’s easy to find your way around the city either by foot or with the U-Bahn. The city is a mixture of historic and modern architecture. As always the German people are very friendly and although their English is not the best they are still welcoming and giving a very good service. If you are interested in naval history Hamburg is a great place to visit. The city was once described as the gateway to Germany (and maybe Europe) and the ships have brought in lots of goods for centuries – they even brought The Beatles who had their first real gigs on the street Große Freiheit in the Reeperbahn area from 1960-1962.
If you haven’t visited Hamburg yet I would highly recommend you doing so.
I love autumn. It brings out some very special colours and a special mood. Besides that I love being in West Jutland, Denmark and I love the roughness of the North Sea.
